Man Charged With Home Invasion At Enfield House
He is also accused to attempting to break into several cars and homes in the same area as the home invasion, according to police.

ENFIELD, CT — An East Hartford resident was arrested Saturday morning following a foot chase which ensued when he was spotted leaving a Westford Ave. home which he had illegally entered, according to police.
Edwin Quiles, 28, was apprehended by police after a brief foot pursuit. An investigation determined that while inside the home on Westford Ave., he assaulted a female resident and demanded she give him the keys to her vehicle, police said.

Police had been dispatched to adjacent Belmont Ave. at 7:18 a.m. upon a complaint that a man, subsequently identified as Quiles, was attempting to enter cars and homes, and investigation determined five locations in the immediate area were affected, police said.
He was charged with home invasion, second-degree burglary, four counts of criminal attempt to commit third-degree burglary, first-degree criminal trespass, third-degree criminal mischief, criminal attempt to commit third-degree robbery, interfering with an officer, assault on public safety personnel and second-degree breach of peace. He is being held over the weekend in lieu of $200,000 cash or surety bond, Lt. Willie Pedemonti said.

Quiles told police he was under the influence of the drug “molly” and alcohol at the time of the incident. While he does not reside in Enfield, he does have connections to residents in the area of where the incidents occurred, police said.
