The incident began around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, when police went to Moody's home to serve a warrant stemming from a recent domestic violence incident. Rather than surrendering, Moody held police at bay, refusing to come out despite repeated commands. A SWAT team and other law enforcement personnel came to assist at the scene, police said.
At some point early Wednesday morning, Moody fired multiple shots which struck a CREST armored vehicle containing officers inside, with other officers nearby, Deputy Police Chief Gary Collins said.
