Nationally-Known Folk Musician to Perform In Enfield May 31

Do you remember the New Christy Minstrels? William Florian, the former lead singer of the group, is bringing his upbeat, energetic performance to Enfield. Join William for a journey through America’s greatest folk, rock, and pop music including the songs of Peter, Paul and Mary, Pete Seeger, Mamas and the Papas and John Denver. Tickets for the Thursday, May 31, 6 p.m. performance are available for $7 per person in the Senior Center office.
PRIME Fitness at the Enfield Senior Center is a safe and fun way to exercise. An experienced Fitness Assistant designs a program with you and trains you on all of the fitness machines, free weights and balance trainer. Membership is available for $25 per month, $60 for 3 months, $100 for 6 months and $150 for a year. To schedule an appointment call 860-272-3554.
Movie and Hot Dog Night is on Thursday, May 24. The movie is Dolphin’s Tale and the hot dogs will be grilled by our famous Senior Center volunteer short order cooks. Tickets are on sale for $5 per person. Dinner is at 5 p.m. and the movie starts at 6 p.m.

The Enfield Senior Center is hosting a Free Stroke Screening sponsored by the Cardiac Rehabilitation Department of Johnson Memorial Medical Center in conjunction with the American Heart Association. On Friday, May 18, from 1 to 3 p.m., you can schedule a free 10-minute screening. This appointment will include blood pressure measurement, pulse check, auscultation of carotid bruits, personal and family medical history and consultation. Stroke warning signs can sometimes be subtle. Stroke is the third highest cause of death of Americans and the leading cause of serious and long-term disability. Schedule your free screening by calling the Senior Center office.

Your talented friends and neighbors will be performing at the Enfield Senior Center Talent Showcase on Friday, May 11 at 6 p.m. The performers have been practicing and preparing for this entertaining evening. Tickets are on sale for $7 per person which includes a dessert and coffee at intermission.
Dance away the afternoon at the Afternoon Ballroom Dance on Friday, May 11 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $3 at the door.
It’s time again for the Line Dance Jamboree! Get your tickets for an afternoon of line dancing. Join the fun on Thursday, May 10 at 1 p.m. Tickets are on sale now for $7 per person including admission, a turkey grinder and soda.
