Parkway Pavilion Health & Rehabilitation Center, as well as Barbara Stuart, Director of Nursing has recently been certified by Vohra Wound Physicians as a Center for Excellence for wound management.

Vohra Wound Physicians, founded in 2000, is the leading physician network devoted to post-acute wound care in skilled nursing and assisted living facilities. Parkway Pavilion Health and Rehabilitation Center’s mission is to achieve positive outcomes for patients with hard to heal wounds. This collaborative effort includes a certified wound physician, physical therapists, occupational therapist, a registered dietician and a wound certified registered nurse.

Barbara Stuart completed the 13 module course to become Vohra Certified. Ms. Stuart’s position at Parkway is Director of Nursing Services but her connection to Parkway began when she was in the 6th grade. Both her mom and aunt worked at Parkway where at an early age she started volunteering. Her true passion throughout her healthcare career has been to be a treatment nurse. According to Barbara “I am excited to be a member of the team to provide better care to our residents, healing wounds quickly for better outcomes.”
