Runners From Enfield Compete In Boston Marathon
Two Enfield residents and a town official were among the nearly 25,000 people who ran the Boston Marathon Monday.

ENFIELD, CT — Two runners from Enfield and the town's chief of police competed in the 2022 Boston Marathon Monday. Nearly 25,000 runners finished the marathon, including more than 350 from Connecticut.
Everett Hackett, 32, of Hartford was the top Connecticut runner in 50th place with an official time of 2:24:56. Laura Pierce, 40, of Woodbridge placed 127th among women and 2,251st overall with a time of 2:55:41, according to the Boston Athletic Association.
Enfield resident Dawn Gagne, 53, finished the 26.2-mile run in 3:43:40. Zach Pietras, 30, completed the course in 4:05:03.

Enfield Police Chief Alaric Fox, 57, competed in the race for the seventh time, and finished with an official time of 3:46:01.
