Search Continues For Suffield Woman Missing a Week From Enfield

State police and an out-of-town canine unit searched a walking trail adjacent to the Enfield-Suffield Veterans Bridge Friday.

SUFFIELD, CT — The search for a 64-year-old Suffield woman missing for a week continued Friday, as state police and canine units worked in the area of a walking trail adjacent to the Enfield-Suffield Veterans Bridge on Route 190.

Ondine Frohberg was last seen Nov. 1 at the Olive Garden restaurant in Enfield, about a mile from where police were spotted Friday. Police vehicles, including a canine unit from Old Saybrook, were seen at the west end of a walking trail which borders the northern side of 190 and passes under the highway bridge into the Windsor Locks Canal Trail Park.

Enfield Police Chief Alaric Fox said search and rescue dogs from the Connecticut State Police were searching for her. He added a search party of volunteers plans to continue looking for Frohberg Saturday.

Frohberg is described as having medical conditions and cognitive disability. She stands 5-foot-4, weighing 160 lbs., with gray hair and blue eyes, and was last seen wearing a red and orange striped shirt and navy blue pants.

An investigation has thus far shown Frohberg was last seen walking westbound on Route 190 in the area of the I-91/Route 5 overpasses on Nov. 1 around 1:30 p.m.
