According to a police report, on May 8 at 5:40 a.m., a stolen vehicle recovered in Farmington contained property belonging to residents of three different Enfield homes, on Old King Street, Spier Avenue and an undisclosed address, all of whom had reported items missing from their vehicles. Among the items recovered were wallets, credit cards, cash and clothing, Police Chief Alaric Fox said.
A report from Farmington police describes a scene at 4:23 that morning, when a witness statement led to recovery of a Jeep Wrangler on Talcott Notch Road. The license plate on the Jeep was determined to have been stolen, and a check of the vehicle's VIN indicated the Jeep itself was stolen, Fox said.
