SUV Stolen; Enfield Resident Thwarts Theft of Another Vehicle

Enfield Police are investigating the theft of a Cadillac SUV and the attempted theft of a second vehicle.

A 2003 Cadillac Escalade was reported stolen from the parking lot of Motel 6 at 11 hazard Ave. about 2:40 p.m. Sunday.

A Church Street resident reported that she confronted two men after she saw them trying to push her 1992 Honda Civic down the street about 1:10 a.m. Sunday, according to Chief Carl Sferrazza.

“The resident had installed a surveillance camera and saw them from inside her residence. They fled the area” without the car, after she confronted them, Sferrazza said.
