• I-91 Ramp Closures Set In Enfield (patch.com) — Overnight ramp closures on I-91 in Enfield and East Windsor will begin Monday, Oct. 12, affecting northbound and southbound ramps at exits 45 through 49 for about four weeks. Enfield drivers can expect single-ramp closures from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., with detours, police, and flaggers guiding traffic while crews upgrade guardrails, clean catch basins, and install curbing as part of a larger preservation project.
   

• Shoreline Co-Op Girls Swim Team Qualifies for State Championships (hk-now.com) — Local swim fans may notice Enfield represented through the Suffield/Enfield co-op at a recent relay meet where Shoreline's girls team dominated, earning four relay golds. Shoreline now has seven swimmers qualified in twelve State Championship events, with detailed results from early-season meets against Norwich Free Academy, East Lyme, Sheehan, and Fitch.
