Verdict Reached in Eli Lilly Pharmaceutical Heist Lawsuit

The company's insurer sued the security company it claimed was responsible for failing to conceal information used in the massive heist.

Tyco Integrated Systems, formerly known as ADT Security Services, was sued by the National Union Fire Insurance Co., seeking recovery of a $42 million payout to Eli Lilly, plus legal expenses, AP reported.

NUFIC had argued that the five men convicted in the heist obtained critical information from a report prepared by Tyco detailing deficiencies in the warehouse's security, claiming the report was not properly secured, according to AP.
