Woman Saved After Jumping From Enfield-Suffield Bridge: PD
She was rescued about three-quarters of a mile downstream from the bridge early Sunday afternoon, according to authorities.

ENFIELD, CT — Firefighters and police teamed up early Sunday afternoon to rescue a woman who had reportedly jumped off the Enfield-Suffield Veterans Bridge into the Connecticut River.
Around 12:34 p.m., emergency personnel from the Enfield, Thompsonville and North Thompsonville fire departments, Enfield and Suffield police and Enfield EMS responded to the river, and three fire department boats were launched in a search effort. The woman was spotted about three-quarters of a mile downstream from the bridge, where she made it to shore and was transported via the Enfield Fire District 1 hovercraft to the Parsons Road boat launch, police and fire officials said.
The woman, whose name has not been released by authorities, was brought to a local hospital for treatment of symptoms believed to be hypothermia, fire officials said.
