Celebrate Deep River's 1st Annual Heartfelt Market
Saturday, February 6th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. join the businesses in downtown Deep River to celebrate the 1st Annual Heartfelt Market.
DEEP RIVER, CT — The Deep River businesses cordially invite the public to their 1st Annual Heartfelt Market on Saturday, February 6th from 10 am to 4 pm in downtown Deep River to spread a little love and benefit the Deep River Ambulance and Deep River Fire Departments. During Heartfelt Market, visitors will collect colored hearts from participating businesses to create a Wreath of Hearts. No purchase will be necessary, but any purchase made will generate a donation to the Deep River Ambulance and Fire Departments from participating businesses.
Completed wreaths will be collected at The Nest Coffee House where each will be entered to win a
cash prize at 4 pm! There will be live music and special activities outside throughout the day to foster the spirit of community and good will.
"With the timing of Valentine's Day the following week, we thought it would be the perfect way to
capture the spirit of the Heart symbol and how it has taken on new meaning during the pandemic as a way to show love and support of first responders." says Sage Novak, owner of Anchor & Compass and Compass Rose. Novak, along with Jane Moen of The Nest Coffee House, have created this event, which will take place on Saturday, February 6th from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

"Our Ambulance and Fire volunteers have continued their invaluable services of protecting our
townspeople and their homes during these tough COVID times without fail" says Moen. "By hosting this market in a safe and fun way, Deep River residents, visitors and businesses will collectively be able to show our Heartfelt Thanks symbolically and financially to both departments."
After the Heartfelt Market concludes at 4 p.m., Novak and Moen will do a Facebook Live and announce which Wreath of Hearts has won the Cash Prize! The Wreaths will be on display in the windows along Main Street until Valentine's Day when the businesses will present the money raised to each department.
