CHESTER, CT — Brittany Gilbert, who works at the Chester Bottle Shoppe, located at 191 Middlesex Square, is holding a donation drive for Friday’s Dog & Cat Rescue no kill animal shelter in New London.

Gilbert explained in a recent Facebook post that she is holding the drive to help animals who have ended up in rescues because of the pandemic and other unfortunate circumstances.

“I am doing a donation drive for them, at my store, as we are in a pandemic [and] people are losing their jobs and the ability to take care of their pets… Sadly, it does happen [and rescues] are swamped at the moment,” said Gilbert in her post.
