Chester Holiday Market Is A Go
There will be a holiday market in downtown Chester this year. So get ready to support local and shop til you drop.

CHESTER, CT — Thanks to the Chester Rotary there will be a fun-filled Holiday Market bustling throughout town this holiday season on Sundays, starting November 29 and running through December 20th.
“This is the first year that the Rotary is doing this and we are very excited,” said Chester Rotary President Deborah Vilcheck. “It’s a great way to give back to the community, support the merchants and help Sue Hotkowski (the summer farmer’s market manager).”
She added, “We are keeping everything going as best we can. The Holiday Market is something everyone looks forward to. It’s part of the holiday season and part of the community.”

Vendors already on board include; Hay House, Silver Thistle Farm, Wave Hill Bread and Franks Woodfired Pizza, others will be added.
Unlike the summer market, the street will remain open for the Holiday Market and vendors will be more spread out to accommodate additional social distancing. Vilcheck assures that an abundance of holiday decorations and lights will adorn the downtown area and Mrs. Clause will be on hand waving hello and keeping an eye out for those who are naughty and those who are nice.

“How much of a visit Mrs. Clause will be able to make is still a “wait and see,” kind of thing, depending on how the virus goes, but she will definitely be there is some way,” said Vilcheck, who is excited about the Holiday Market this year and the electrifying buzz it always brings to the town center.
“This brings joy and comfort and we can’t wait for this year’s excitement,” said Vilcheck, who encourages shoppers to also visit the many and varied downtown stores and eateries which will also be open on Market days.
