Chester And Surrounding Towns Take Care of Shelter Animals

Food and other needed items were collected last weekend for downtrodden animals spending the holidays in shelters.

CHESTER, CT — Chester Resident Trooper, Luke LaRue wrote a letter of thanks to the community for giving back to animal food drive that was held on December 19th.

"Unfortunately, during this holiday season our nation is facing challenges on the home front due to the Covid-19 pandemic which is disrupting our sense of norm. Chester, CT residents along with residents from surrounding towns have risen to the occasion despite these difficult times once again to give back to shelter animals in need. I truly thank those that came out for supporting this cause and giving back to animals that are unwanted and downtrodden. A special thanks goes out to our Tri-Town ACO, Caitlyn Sikora and Presents for Paws (non-profit), Noreen Favreau for facilitating the distribution of what we collected on 12/19/2020 at the Holiday Shelter Animal Pet Supply Drive at Chester Town Hall."
