Covid-19 Positive Case At John Winthrop Middle School Impacts 17

ESSEX, CHESTER, DEEP RIVER, CT — The following letter went out to the John Winthrop Middle School Community on Friday:

Dear John Winthrop Middle School Community,

Today we were informed of a positive COVID-19 case impacting John Winthrop Middle School. The last date the individual attended JWMS was Tuesday, January 19, 2021.
This case impacts 12 students and 5 staff members at John Winthrop Middle School. The administration has notified families of students and staff members who had verified close contact with the known positive case. All individuals who had close contact with the known case will also be contacted by local health departments.
