Deep River Municipal Ethics Commission Candidates Announced
As per the Municipal Ethics Commission ordinance with Covid-19 restrictions, this will be an election held by absentee ballot only.

DEEP RIVER, CT — According to a press release put out by the town of Deep River, the following people have been nominated to run for election to the Deep River Municipal Ethics Commission:
- Caroline Jansen (U)
- John Greene (R)
- Jason Lamark (R)
- Luther Moen (U)
- Carol Flaim (R)
- Robert Ghinder (D)
- Robert J. Herrick, III (D)
- Joan Defilippo (U)
- A lottery was held Thursday, December 17, 2020 to determine the order of names on the ballot. A recording of this lottery along with the 12/15 Town Meeting for nominations will be posted and will be able to be seen by going tohttp://reflect-vsctv.cablecast.tv/CablecastPublicSite/gallery/9?channel=1 As per the Municipal Ethics Commission ordinance with Covid-19 restrictions, this will be an election held by absentee ballot only.
- Applications may be mailed or deposited in the Official Ballot Drop Box by the Main Street entrance to the Town Hall.
- Ballots become available on Monday, December 21, 2020 and will be mailed to all whose applications were properly made.
- Voters may vote for up to seven candidates.Voting for fewer is fine but voting for more than seven will result in your ballot being rejected. Two ballots in one return envelope will disqualify both ballots.
- Ballots may be mailed back or deposited in the Official Ballot Drop Box and must be received no later than 4:00 p.m. on Monday, January 25, 2021.A postmark for that deadline will not count.
- Ballots will be tallied by the Registrars of Voters and seats will be determined by the Town Clerk as per CGS 9-167a.Results will be made available February 2, 2021.
