PLEASE NOTE
Keeping dogs licensed is required by State Statute 22-338 and not just a way to identify lost dogs, it is also a matter of safety, for pets and their owners.
Our Animal Control Officer is Caitlyn Sikora. She may be reached at 860-767-4340 x 160. When a dog is impounded it must be licensed before it’s released. The fine for an unlicensed dog is *$75.00; the fine for failure to have an updated Rabies Certificate is *$136.00; and the fine for a roaming dog is *$92.00.
Thank you for your consideration.
