Don't Be Scared By The Essex Scarecrows; Vote For Your Favorite!
Time is running out! Be sure to vote for your favorite Essex Scarecrow before October 31!
ESSEX, CT — Each year the street lamps in downtown Essex on Main Street are adorned with creatively constructed scarecrows as part of the Essex Board of Trade's Annual Scarecrow Contest.
Adding fun and whimsy to an already beautiful area, the contest is a great way to bring the local community, as well as visitors, together to participate in a friendly competition that the merchants and business owners in the area look forward to each Haloween season.

Have you voted for your favorite scarecrow yet this year? If not, you had better get going, time is running out. Submit your vote to one of six locations by October 31, (J. Alden Clothiers, CT River Museum, Savour Café, Blue Hound Cookery, Ivoryton Library and Elite Nutrition). Winners will be announced at the Halloween Parade, 10/31/21 on Main Street, Essex, as well as on all social media.
