Environmental Tip From The Chester Conservation Commission
Remember to check your clothing before and after a walk in the woods or hike to make sure you are not a vehicle for invasive species.

CHESTER, CT — Environmental tip from the Chester Conservation Commission:
Like all people in these difficult times, Chester residents are surely getting outdoors and taking advantage of the many places to walk and hike in this area. Remember, however, when you do so, to look at your shoes and clothing before you start and when you finish to make sure you are not taking invasive species into the woods or home with you via their seeds. You might notice that invasive plants can be seen along hiking trails and have been spread there by hikers just like aquatic invasive plants are spread by boats and motors.
