Essex Elementary School Enrollment Projected To Decline
Enrollment numbers are expected to decline slightly for the 2021-22 school year at Essex Elementary School.
ESSEX, CT — Essex Elementary School enrollment projections for the 2021-22 school year are expected to decline slightly, according to information from the New England School Development Council (NESDEC), which is a private, not-for-profit educational organization.
Currently, Essex Elementary School has an enrollment of 280 students, in grades k-6. Next year, the projected numbers see that number declining by five students, to 275. In 2022-23, that number is projected to decline again to 264 students.
This year there are 32 students in the kindergarten, next year that number is projected to jump to 35. In first grade, this year there are 38 students, next year that number is projected to decline to 34. In second grade, this year there are 35 students, next year that number is projected to jump to 39. In third grade, this year there are 41 students, next year that number is projected to decline to 36. In fourth grade, this year there are 40 students, that number is projected to jump to 44. In fifth grade, this year there are 47 students, next year that number is projected to decline to 39 and in sixth grade, this year there are 47 students and next year that number is projected to go up by one student.
