Essex First Congregational Church Prayer Vigil For Covid Deaths

ESSEX, CT — The First Congregational Church in Essex will be holding a 15-minute prayer vigil at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 24. The prayer vigil will be followed by the ringing of the Steeple Bell 50 times, to commemorate the deaths of over 500,000 people, due to Covid-19 and its complications.

All are invited to join via Zoom (100 person capacity).

We’ll speak prayers, hear a reading, light candles (we suggest you light some as well) and hear a song. Then after, the Bell in our Steeple will ring.
