Essex Foundation Gives $10,000 Grant to The Fire Department
The Essex Foundation recently gave the Essex Fire Department a grant check in the amount of $10,000 to be used for safety equipment.
ESSEX, CT — The Essex Fire Department received a grant for $10,000 from the Essex Foundation for the purchase of emergency medical equipment including the replacement of the Department's end-of-life automated external defibrillators (AED’s) and two Lucas chest compression systems, which are carried on light rescues stationed in Essex and Ivoryton. According to the Essex Fire Department Facebook page post, "These life-saving tools provide substantially greater opportunities of successful resuscitation than CPR alone."
