Essex Meadows Receives Kindness Gifts of Flowers And Art
Spreading cheer and kindness, the Family Club of the Connecticut River Valley brought gifts of flowers and kid art to Essex Meadows.

ESSEX, CT — A new group, that calls itself the Family Club of the Connecticut River Valley, was interested in doing a service project to help those in the tri-town community affected by covid restrictions. According to Stefanie Hill, the administrative vice president for the group, they decided that flowers and kid artwork would be a great way to bring a smile and brighten the days of those living in care facilities during this gloomy, end-of-winter stretch.

To achieve their goal and involve the surrounding community, the group put out an ask for vases on the Buy Nothing Chester, Deep River Essex Facebook page. They quickly received 50 vases and were able to fill and deliver 54 vases of flowers and 70 pieces of kid artwork to Essex Meadows residents in hopes of reminding them all that their community cares about them and that spring is just around the corner.
