Congratulations to Rob and Tom Miceli who received an Award of Merit from the Connecticut League of History Organizations for their 2021 book, "These Few Lines: Chester in the Civil War as Depicted in the Correspondence between Willis and Nancie Ayers." The Chester Historical Society, as well as, the Chester community members are very proud of Rob and Tom Miceli for their hard work. (Facebook)
  2. Voters in Deep River have approved $1.2 million in capital expenditures. Reportedly, approximately 50 voters who were in attendance at the April 11 special town meeting voted unanimously to approve the expenses. The money will reportedly be used to purchase Fire Emergency Management equipment for the the Public Works departments, the Water Pollution Control Authority and Town Hall. (Zip06)
