Learn About Award Wining Architecture With The Essex Library

ESSEX, CT — Nick Deaver AIA of Centerbrook Architects will present, 'Land, Building, Spirit,' on Friday, Jan. 8, at 7 p.m. on Zoom, through the Essex Library.

According to a press release from the Essex Library about the event, Deaver will be exploring the personal journey of architecture and how awakening the senses can reconnect us with the natural world. This talk reflects on discovery and placemaking from Connecticut to Venice to Texas.

Nick’s work includes private residences, office buildings, theaters, arts and academic buildings, university housing, research laboratories, medical facilities, and recreational buildings. His award-winning work celebrates modesty, beauty and meaning; focusing on creating memorable places that respond to the local context with a commitment to minimal demands on the environment.
