Pet food/cat litter Collection Drive to help Shelter Pets

The CT State Police, the ACOs of the Essex/Chester/Deep River Animal Shelter, and TANK (local animal shelter resident) are hosting a pet food/cat litter drive on Saturday, December 18th from 10am-2pm inside the Essex Town Hall Auditorium (29 West Ave, Essex, CT 06426). You can even get your photo with Santa!

Animal shelters are in desperate need of wet/dry cat/kitten food (any brand), cat litter, and wet/dry dog food (Purina is the most requested brand from shelters. Please no Ol' Roy or Beneful). All pet food donations must be new and unopened.

There will also be new/gently used dog apparel for sale for $1 each (any size), so you can spoil your furry friend(s), too! Proceeds from dog clothing sales and the pet supplies collected will benefit Presents for Paws, a 501c(3) non-profit organization in East Haddam that collects and distributes pet food and supplies to CT animal shelters (including the Essex/Chester/Deep River shelter!).
