At the Jan. 6, Board of Selectman meeting, there were several resignations, appointments and town committee and board vacancies discussed.

ESSEX, CT — The following represent appointments and resignations from Boards and Commissions in the town of Essex, as well as vacancies.

RESIGNATIONS

At the January 6, Essex Board of Selectman meeting, a motion was made by Selectman Bruce Glowac to accept the resignation of Rosemary Willis from the Essex Housing Authority with gratitude for her service. Selectwoman Stacia Libby seconded the motion and it was unanimously approved. Motion carried. The Housing Authority position is a First Selectman appointment. An appointment will be made once Essex Housing Authority approves and recommends someone.

In addition, a motion was made by Glowac to accept the resignation of Joseph Zaraschi from the Harbor Management Commission with gratitude for his service. Libby seconded the motion and it was unanimously approved. Motion carried.

APPOINTMENTS

A motion was made by Glowac to appoint Steven Babjak as a member to the Economic Development Commission. Libby seconded the motion and it was unanimously approved. Motion carried. This appointment requires a Town Meeting.

Development Commission. Stacia Libby seconded the motion and it was unanimously approved.
Motion carried. This appointment requires a Town Meeting.

VACANCIES

The Selectmen discussed there are still two vacancies on the Park and Recreation Commission, one vacancy on the Economic Development Commission, and one vacancy on the Planning and Zoning Commission.
