ESSEX, CHESTER, DEEP RIVER, CT — Residents of Connecticut are starting to receive the latest round of stimulus payments from the $1.9 trillion coronavirus relief package signed by President Joe Biden last week, and there's an easy way to check when yours will be sent to you.
In the American Rescue Plan Act, each adult earning up to $75,000 adjusted gross income ($150,000 for a married couple) may be eligible for $1,400 relief per person in their family, including children.
The extensive relief package also includes child tax credits, the expansion of Medicaid benefits for new mothers, added unemployment benefits and healthcare subsidies, money for struggling businesses, funding for the vaccine rollout and for schools to reopen, and more. It also will provide relief for many Connecticut towns and their businesses.
