Taste Of Middlesex County Features Scotch Plains Tavern In Essex

ESSEX, CT — The Taste of Middlesex County is going on now through February 21.

Looking for a fun tasty way to break-up the winter blahs? Why not savor the bountiful flavors of select restaurants in the Middlesex County area that are participating in the 6th annual Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce's Taste of Middlesex County?

This year the annual celebration of mouthwatering delights looks and feels a little different thanks to the pandemic and the Chamber's mission to meet the state's Safety Guidelines while at the same time supporting small business restaurants.

This event is designed specifically to highlight a diverse offering of dining delights offered in our small community. Each restaurant that is participating in the event has come up with its own unique, fixed-priced menu for the event, some include meals for two, family meals and dine-in or carry-out options.

Essex's own Scotch Plains Tavern is just one of the many restaurants participating in this event. Thier fixed menu includes a choice between two professionally prepared appetizers; Seared beef tips or Sausage stuffed mushrooms. Entree choices include; Poached salmon piccata or Pan Seared Chicken Madeira and for dessert; creamy decadent Tiramisu.
