$250,000 Winning CT Scratch-Off Lottery Ticket Sold In Fairfield
The lucky winner has not been identified, according to the Connecticut Lottery.
FAIRFIELD, CT — An as yet unidentified person is $250,000 richer this week after purchasing a big lottery-winning ticket in Fairfield, the Connecticut Lottery announced.
The jackpot-winning ticket is a "$250,000 Cashword 9" game, which was purchased at Wine Zone on Black Rock Turnpike.
"Until the individual or group presents their winning ticket for claim at CT Lottery Headquarters, the identity of a winner is unknown," lottery officials said in a statement.

The game, which has been designated as "ending soon," costs $20 per ticket, and began in May 2022. As of Thursday, only one grand prize of $250,000 remained unclaimed.
More than 2.6 million tickets have been printed, and the overall odds of winning are 1 in 3.
