Fairfield Prep Falls To Greenwich In Class LL Football Playoffs

The Jesuits faced the top-seeded Cardinals in the Class LL quarterfinals on Tuesday night.

FAIRFIELD, CT — The Fairfield Prep football team’s season came to an end with a 27-6 loss to top-seeded Greenwich in the Class LL quarterfinals Tuesday night in Greenwich. The eighth-seeded Jesuits finished the season with an 8-3 record. Greenwich (11-0) advances to a semifinal showdown with No. 4 South Windsor (10-1) on Sunday afternoon.

Leading 13-6 at halftime, Greenwich pulled away with two touchdowns in the fourth quarter and held on for the win. Jeremiah Harris hauled in two touchdown passes from quarterback Gavin Muir and Zach Moore kicked two field goals to lead the Cardinals, according to the Connecticut Post.

Will Lucas scored on a 12-yard touchdown run for Fairfield Prep.
