Fairfield Man ID'd As Victim In Fatal Bridgeport Crash (patch.com) — A 62-year-old Fairfield man, Garth Lawrence, has been identified as the victim of a single-car crash in Bridgeport, and Fairfield police assisted city officers with a separate fatal motorcycle collision happening around the same time. Bridgeport's police chief expressed condolences, thanked Fairfield officers for their help, and urged all drivers to slow down and follow traffic laws as the holiday season nears.

Fairfield Zoning Commission To Hear 140-Unit Housing Proposal, Sacred Heart Athletic Field Plans (patch.com) — Fairfield's Town Plan and Zoning Commission will weigh a 140‑unit Thorpe Street housing proposal, Sacred Heart University athletic field upgrades, and critical Fairfield Beach sewer pump station improvements at its Oct. 13 meeting. Residents can join via Zoom or phone and are encouraged to submit comments in advance on these projects that could reshape traffic, recreation, and neighborhood character.
   

5. More than 1,000 seek 40 affordable apartments in Fairfield (ctpost.com) — A new 40-unit affordable housing complex on High Street has already drawn more than 1,000 pre-applications, highlighting how intense the demand for reasonably priced rentals is in Fairfield. Leasing at Judd Homestead is expected to begin in January, with units reserved for adults with developmental disabilities and a lottery system determining who can complete full applications.
