FAIRFIELD, CT — Jairo Guadalupe Lopez-Bonilla, the 39-year-old Bridgeport man accused of negligent homicide with a motor vehicle, pleaded not guilt in court Wednesday, despite Fairfield police claiming he confessed to the crime, reported the Connecticut Post.

Fairfield police said that Lopez-Bonilla said he thought Mohamed may have been injured after the crash, but he was "surprised and nervous," which led to him fleeing the scene.

The attorney representing Lopez-Bonilla, Dennis Bradley, told the Post that he is considering challenging the confession that police claim he made.
