Fairfield American Closes In On Little League World Series
Fairfield will play in the New England Regional championship game on Saturday.

FAIRFIELD, CT — The Fairfield American Little League team is one win away from a dream trip to Williamsport, Pa. and the Little League World Series. Fairfield advanced to the New England Regional championship game on Saturday by rallying to a 9-4 victory over Goffstown, N.H., on Wednesday.
Fairfield (17-0) trailed 3-0 early in the game but a five-run outburst in the fourth inning gave Fairfield the edge and four runs in the sixth helped cement the victory. (To sign up for Fairfield breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
Andrew Cutler and Anthony Pollack had key hits in the rally for Fairfield, while Ethan Righter finished with three hits and two runs scored, according to the Connecticut Post.
