Fairfield American Wins Little League Section 1 Championship

FAIRFIELD, CT — The Fairfield American Little League team cruised to the Section 1 championship with a 9-0 victory over North Branford Saturday night at Henry Roche Field in Orange.

Fairfield American begins its quest for the state championship in the double-elimination tournament against Wallingford on Friday night, according to the Connecticut Post. Ethan Righter and Michael Iannazzo combined on the shutout for Fairfield American and also made contributions offensively. Righter had an RBI double and Iannazzo had an RBI triple, while Matthew Vivona blasted a three-run home run, according to the Post.
