Dear Neighbors,

Residents of the “Circle Hotel” area have formed an alliance to contest the proposed development of 441 Post Road (the Circle Hotel demolition and renovation project). We are using the name "Fairfield Circle Neighbors for Responsible Development" and we invite you to join our cause.

Status of application: The developers filed an application with the town which includes a variance to change the zoning. They request to build a 110-unit hotel, a 250-unit apartment building, and a 5-story parking garage.

Neighbor concerns: 441 Post Road, the Circle hotel site, is zoned as a Designed Residence District. The proposal is to add many more dwellings than allowable per town regulations. We are concerned about: proximity to tidal wetlands, potential structural risks to nearby homes, flooding and water runoff, traffic congestion, noise and light pollution, and impact on neighborhood character.

Petition: In light of these concerns, we have written a petition and are recruiting digital signatures. The petition requests to scale back the project. Please read the linked petition and consider signing today. Our goal is 1000 signatures!
