Officers with the Fairfield Police Department and Fairfield University Department of Public Safety will host a Tip-A-Cop event to benefit Special Olympics Connecticut at Chip’s Family Restaurant on Friday, October 15th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Chip’s Family Restaurant is located at 525 Tunxis Hill Cut Off, Fairfield. To find out more, visit soct.org, email specialolympicsct@soct.org or call 203-230-1201.

Tip-a-Cop is a Law Enforcement Torch Run event to benefit Special Olympics Connecticut.

About the Law Enforcement Torch Run® for Special Olympics Connecticut
The Law Enforcement Torch Run® for Special Olympics Connecticut is one of the movement's largest grass-roots fundraiser and public awareness vehicles - celebrating its 35th anniversary in 2021. A highlight of the program is the annual Torch Run, when officers from police departments and law enforcement agencies across the state participate in a three-day run leading up to the Special Olympics Connecticut Summer Games in June. The program extends throughout the year, as the officers also organize and host fundraisers that include but are not limited to Tip-a-Cop, Cop-on-Top and Penguin Plunge events.
