Fairfield Dems: Republicans Embrace Anti-Vax, QAnon Candidates

We often hear the expression “vote your values” when Election Day nears. But, in order to do that, Fairfield voters need to know the values embraced by their local political parties as evidenced by the candidates they nominate and champion to represent us in local government. Fairfield voters deserve to know that anti-science, anti-vaccine, anti-mask, pro-insurrection candidates will be on their ballot this Election Day. — These are the values embraced by the Fairfield Republican Party.

Fairfield Democrats value science & sound policy, and we condemn the spread of vaccine misinformation, which is senselessly costing American lives and preventing us from putting this pandemic behind us. — Not Fairfield Republicans.

Endorsed Republican RTM candidate Hannah Gale has been vocally and staunchly anti-vaccine and anti-mask. Gale regularly shares vaccine misinformation and conspiracy theories online, including those calling COVID vaccines "forced experiments," and comparing the Biden Administration to Hitler's Nazi Germany. Numerous other endorsed Republican candidates have also publicly expressed radical anti-mask views and have supported anti-mask school walk-outs — These are the values of the Fairfield Republican Party.

Fairfield Democrats value truth & democracy, and we unequivocally denounce not only the deadly Jan. 6 insurrection, but the spread of disinformation that led to it. — Not Fairfield Republicans

Endorsed Republican RTM candidate Tameisha Powell-Dunmore has publicly shared numerous disturbing social media posts regarding the violent Jan. 6 insurrection. Her posts hailed Donald Trump as the true winner of the election, supported dangerous QAnon conspiracy theories, claimed widespread voter fraud, asserted that BLM & Antifa were responsible for the riots, and repeated the views of violent white supremacists. — These are the values of the Fairfield Republican Party.

Make no mistake: despite Fairfield Republicans’ attempt to spin these extremist views as “diverse voices,” this is not “diversity.”

The fact that anti-science, anti-vax, anti-fact candidates have been warmly welcomed into the Republican fold and championed to represent Fairfielders in local government should be of great concern to all voters - Democrat, Republican, and unaffiliated alike.

This Election Day, please be informed about the values represented on your ballot and be sure to vote YOUR values in this important local election on November 2.
