The resolution states that Fairfield previously adopted an ordinance authorizing automated traffic enforcement safety devices under state law. The Town Code requires the Fairfield Traffic Authority to report to the RTM, including data on the operation of the devices.
According to the resolution, the RTM has reviewed the enforcement plan, including the locations identified for the devices and data on the program’s operation. The plan was submitted to and approved by the Connecticut Department of Transportation.
