Fairfield Woman Accused of Throwing Trash Can Lid at Husband During Dispute

A Fairfield woman was charged with throwing a trash can lid at her husband and hitting him during an argument when she allegedly became angry with him after he asked her to stop drinking, according to the Fairfield Minuteman.

The Minuteman reports that Lorna M. Recone, 50, of Paddock Hill Lane, was arrested Sunday night on a charge of disorderly conduct. She had originally called police to the home, accusing him of attempting to choke her but police said her speech sounded slurred during the call, according to the Minuteman.

When officers arrived, Recone appeared intoxicated and had difficulty standing and police reported there was a strong odor of alcohol. Police also said there was no sign of injury to her neck and the husband gave his version of the dispute to officers, according to the Minuteman.
