FAIRFIELD, CT — Reef Shack, the Fairfield bar, restaurant and marketplace, voluntarily gave up its liquor license for three years after investigations into overcrowding and alleged underage alcohol sales at its Reef Road location, the Connecticut Post and Fairfield Mirror reported.

Owner Jason Lesizza is facing reckless endangerment charges related to a pair of incidents in the last several months in which the bar far exceeded its capacity.

In one instance late last month, fire inspectors reportedly counted more than 300 patrons leaving the establishment, though its capacity is only 49.
