Former Restaurant Employee Caused $1K In Damage During Break-In: Fairfield Police

The former employee is accused of throwing rocks through a glass door to break into the restaurant.

FAIRFIELD, CT — A disgruntled former employee is accused of causing about $1,000 worth of damage at Centro Restaurant during an attempted burglary early Monday morning, according to the Fairfield Citizen.

The Citizen reports Raul Cuateco, 31, of Bridgeport, was arrested after the restaurant’s owner identified him through surveillance video as the person throwing rocks to break a glass door. Nothing appeared to be stolen from the restaurant, located at 1435 Post Road, during the break-in. (To sign up for Fairfield breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

Cuateco allegedly told police that after a night of drinking, he decided to break into the restaurant to get money he claimed he was owed after he said he was fired for “no reason” after 10 years with the restaurant, according to the Citizen. The restaurant’s owner told police that he had been fired due to an alleged drinking problem.
