General Electric is eyeing sites in Boston’s Seaport District for a potential new headquarters, according to the Boston Globe.

Boston has previously been mentioned as a potential finalist if GE decides to relocate from its Fairfield headquarters, along with the Greater New York area and Rhode Island. CEO Jeff Immelt has said the company will decide where it will call home by the end of the year.

The Globe reports Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker and Boston Mayor Martin J. Walsh have been involved in the talks and GE has been looking at a number of local sites, particularly in the waterfront section of South Boston.
