The Giants offense led the charge scoring on all of their possessions in the game. "We studied hours of film on the Longhorn defense and felt that we had an advantage upfront" said center and co-captain Charlie Mahoney, who added a touchdown as a running back late in the 3rd quarter to seal the victory. The Giants offensive line led by veteran's Mahoney, Billy Mitchell, Brooks Reynolds, Braeden Aronson, Mason Frey and two sensational rookies Andrew Taylor and Luca Fried has dominated the trenches all year. "We are very fortunate to have depth at all positions both on offense and on defense with this group and it showed again today with the tremendous success of our gold unit " said coach Mike Mitchell. Bradley "Big Cat" Michaud, Cole Westerlund, Dylan Katz, Will Donahue, Tanner Sticco, Luke Stasko, RJ Patrignelli, Colm Watke, Luke Sardinha and Ben Zuckerman opened up huge holes for the running backs Finbar Malloy, Luke Shannehan, Matt Kleinman, TJ Cirilli, Ryan Tompkins and QB's Justin Toothaker and Matt McManus.

On the day, touchdowns by Luke Shannehan, Finbar Malloy, Charlie Mahoney, TJ Cirilli (2) and QB Justin Toothaker proved to be too much for the Longhorns. Justin Toothaker added three key extra point kicks, filling in for injured star Angelo Boci and Robbie Manning punched an extra point conversion in from the QB position late in the game. "We have a bunch of weapons on this team, but kicking extra points at this level is a real advantage and we are fortunate to have two multi-sport athletes that are real talents in Angelo and Justin" said coach Mark Cirilli.
The defense recorded its 6th shutout of the year and second in a row, limiting the Longhorns to no first downs and under 10 yards of total offense. Becket Hallama, playing with a cast on his left hand led the tough Giant defense in tackles and Cole Westerlund led the team with two big sacks from his outside linebacker position.
