Man Convicted of Sexually Assaulting Fairfield Girls Allowed to Compete in Overseas Racing Championship

A judge granted the man, who is a U.S. radio-controlled car racing champion, permission to travel for an international competition.

FAIRFIELD, CT — A 38-year-old Ansonia man, convicted of sexually assaulting two Fairfield teenage girls, was granted permission from a Superior Court judge to travel overseas for an international radio-controlled car championship race, according to the Connecticut Post.

The Post reports Christopher Tosolini, who pleaded guilty to fourth-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor charges in 2012, is a U.S. radio-controlled car racing champion but has been barred from international competition due to the conditions of his probation.

The judge approved the travel but ordered Tosolini to notify his probation officer when he leaves the country and when he returns, according to the Post.

A Fairfield woman accused Tosolini, a family friend, of sexually assaulting her two daughters, ages 14 and 18, in 2010, according to the Post.
