Notre Dame-Fairfield Makes Coaching Change: Report

The coach of the boys' basketball team is reportedly not having his contract renewed. The team played for a state title on Saturday.

FAIRFIELD, CT – It turns out that the 101-49 loss to top-ranked Sacred Heart-Waterbury in the Class M final Saturday at Mohegan Sun was the last game for Vin Laczkoski as head coach of the Notre Dame-Fairfield boys’ basketball team, according to the Connecticut Post.

Doug Bonjour of the Post reports that Laczkoski has confirmed that the school is not renewing his contract and he is out after 10 seasons.

During that time, Laczkoski, 59, went 175-72 with a pair of South-West Conference titles, according to the Post.

Laczkoski was suspended for four games this season as the school investigated allegations of mistreatment from a player who is no longer with the program but he was later cleared of any wrongdoing, according to the Post.
