Pedestrian Struck By DUI Driver In Fairfield: Police

Officers spoke with the owner at his home, and he told them he had been driving earlier but did not know he had hit a person, police said.

FAIRFIELD, CT — A pedestrian was hit by a Jeep early Wednesday, according to police, who said the driver was intoxicated and left the scene.

The incident occurred about 1 a.m. at Post Road and Eliot Place, police said. Medical personnel responded to the area, where the victim had been struck at a low speed by a Jeep Wrangler, according to police.

Authorities ran the Jeep's plate number and found it was registered to an address on Garden Drive, where officers located the vehicle and spoke with the owner, Adam Lucianos, who told them he had been driving earlier but did not know he had hit a person, police said.

Lucianos, 42, was charged with driving under the influence and evading responsibility, and his bond was set at $2,500, according to police.
