Restaurant Worker Charged After Shooting Himself: Fairfield PD

The man accidentally shot himself outside the restaurant, according to police.

FAIRFIELD, CT — A deliveryman for Wings Over Fairfield who accidentally shot himself outside the restaurant last month has been arrested for the incident, according to the Connecticut Post.

The Post reports Timothy Frey, 24, of Trumbull, was cleaning his six-shot revolver outside the restaurant, located at 2075 Black Rock Turnpike, when he accidentally shot himself in the stomach. Frey didn’t have a permit for the gun and had previously been warned by management to not bring it inside due to reckless behavior with it, according to the Post.

Fairfield Police responded to the restaurant shortly after 9 p.m. on Oct. 9 after another employee called 911 to report the shooting. Police said officers immediately rendered first aid to the victim who was taken to St. Vincent’s Medical Center where he underwent emergency surgery.
