Sacred Heart University Student Allegedly Sexually Assaulted by Cab Driver

Yves Pierre, 45, is accused of groping 18-year-old female student and at one point reportedly locked her inside the cab.

In the latest sexual assault incident involving a local college student, a cab driver was arrested after allegedly groping an 18-year-old female Sacred Heart University student.

Yves Pierre, 45, a driver for Yellow Cab Co., picked up the victim and some friends at the school and they were heading to a party on Wood Terrace, according to the Connecticut Post.

The Post reports that the victim sat in the front seat and Pierre allegedly fondled her and put his hands between her legs.

Pierre is also accused of locking the victim in the cab at one point, according to the Post.

The Post reports that the victim managed to get the door unlocked and fled the cab.

Pierre was arrested by Bridgeport police on charges of third-degree sexual assault and unlawful restraint. He was released after posting a $50,000 bond.
